The Principle of Vibration and the Principle of the Planes of Correspondence
The Third Hermetic Principle of Vibration
Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates – Kybalion
What has been evident in mysticism for thousands of years, has been proven by science and has become part of school teachings. Though we perceive a stone as motionless, this is only true on the macroscopic level. What does a stone consist of? It consists of atoms. Air– a gas composed of oxygen and nitrogen molecules is an association of atoms.
We as human beings have a body composed of an endless variety of molecules, which are shifting and in constant movement. So, we too consist ultimately of an innumerable amount of atoms.
But the atom – as we all once learned at school – isn’t compact. The atom is composed of a nucleus of protons and neutrons surrounded by a shell of electrons. They move in such an unmeasurable speed, that only the relative probability of their position can be defined. Furthermore, their movement is not linear but three-dimensional, so there are models, where their position is figured out as a cloud.
Between nucleus and the shell there is endless empty space in relation to the size of the particles. So our body would fit in a pinhead if we were solid – barely visible to the naked eye!
We may therefore conclude that we are a highly differentiated structure of vibration, always in motion and constantly shifting. There is also the measurable motion of our body systems like blood circulation, digestion, activity of the nervous system, which is in charge of our motility and our emotional state.
The main characteristic of a stone is that it has a constant and very slow vibrational pattern. That’s why we perceive it as inanimate nature. Because of this low vibration we also see it as a solid material. When the molecules move faster, we perceive the material as a gas or a liquid.
All cells in the human body are replaced every seven years, except the cells in the central nervous system, which is not adapted to this rhythm but nonetheless does undergo a permanent renewal.
We are all the time externally surrounded by endless varieties of vibrations – e.g. sound waves –, which are transported by motion of the air. But there are also pure energetic vibrations like X-rays or light. There has been a long lasting scientific conflict concerning whether light has the characteristics of corpuscles or pure energy waves, until scientists discovered that light shows up in varying forms depending on the observer and the circumstances of the experiment.
The significance of vibration in everyday life
Each body of vibration creates a field around it, and as a human being has a multilevel vibratory body, the field is very strong and we communicate over this field – unfortunately most of the time unconsciously. Because of this unawareness, there is the risk that we react without knowing why. Here a simple example: One of our associates had a very unpleasant argument at home and he is internally very stressed and angry. When he is asked for a specific information he answers harshly because of his personal situation. But if you as his boss/colleague take his reaction personally and see him as disrespectful, then the danger of an unpleasant conflict arises. If you are registering the vibration of this person consciously, you recognize his stressful condition and respond in a neutral and calm way, thus avoiding an unpleasant confrontation and a saving of energy. We are able to recognize emotional patterns, if we learn to pay attention to them.
We can train the faculty of observation within ourselves. If we walk into a mall, stand at a check-out queue at the supermarket, we can watch and observe the people around us. As we observe others, we can learn also about ourselves, identify and become aware of moods and emotions. When we are conscious of these things, we can clearly decide to show our emotions or not. We train ourselves to be observers when we recognize the differentiated conditions of others. We train ourselves not to be influenced or affected by others’ moods and emotions. The act of observation is an innate quality that gets stimulated through training.
This is a new training strategy for teams in big companies. The coherence between team members is intensified with new biofeedback methods that the Heart Math Institute (Boulder Creek, California) has developed. It is statistically proven that the motivation of team members increases and the absence rate due to illness is reduced by means of training team members in compassion, honesty and mutual support instead of competition and pressure. Success occurs for all parts, when the team is in coherence!
Biofeedback shows, when there is team coherence, how the heart rates of team members get reduced and become harmonious. These positive effects have been scientifically proven in many experiments. What a chance for big companies to think about a new and highly effective management-training!
The effect of vibration – positive and negative
To consider how complicated, highly differentiated, constantly changing vibrational beings we actually are, we will realize how sensitive maintaining balance is and how easily balance can be disturbed. As already mentioned, we are surrounded by an ocean of vibrations undetected by our five senses. Because they are beyond the span of recognizable frequencies, our senses are not able to perceive them – for example UV-light or ultrasound. Or they are too weak for the receptors like radio waves, which we can only hear with the help of an amplifier. The result is we can’t distinguish which vibrations are helpful and which ones are damaging. But with focused attention and observation we can learn to perceive the difference!
Some people are able to sense the vibration of areas where very painful, tormenting events have occurred – like battlefields, slaughter houses and/or places of execution. They feel a heavy, painful, low vibrating energy still present – stored in the ground or in walls. After visiting such places, one may feel drained, exhausted, because all energy has been drained away. Even in hospitals or nursing homes one can experience this.
On the other side of the spectrum, people are attracted to high vibrating areas, like the Camino de Santiago, Spain. Walking this pilgrimage path, people speak of mental clarity and self-realisation. The Camino follows ley-lines, the so-called meridians of the Earth, high in vibration and having a healing effect on body and mind. In many countries, there are such power places. Now there are maps, where such places are marked and described.
Schumann-Resonances – a global electromagnetic resonance phenomenon – are a set of spectrum peaks in the extremely low frequency portion of the Earth’s electromagnetic field spectrum. Schumann resonances are global electromagnetic resonances, generated and excited by lightning discharges in the cavity formed by the Earth’s surface and the ionosphere.
Everything has a frequency and vibration. The Earth has a frequency and vibration, like a heart beat. The Schumann-resonances (a wave-guide) tell us that the vibration of our planet Earth is that of 7.83Hz. When we feel a “connectedness” with another, it means the brainwaves of both people are resonating together between 7 Hz and 8 Hz. Schumann resonances occur because the space between the surface of the Earth and the conductive ionosphere acts as a closed waveguide. The limited dimensions of the Earth cause this waveguide to act as a resonant cavity for electromagnetic waves in the ELFband.
Schumann resonances are used therapeutically. As everything, including our cells and our brains, vibrates with an inborn resonance, all cells in our body vibrate with an inborn resonance, when they are in harmony and in balance. When we are in sync with the Earth’s frequency the body is able to feel balanced, to heal and to increase its vitality.
However, radio-frequency radiations (radio waves, a form of non ionizing radiation or electro-smog) from all of our electronics, our cell phones, radio towers, confuse this vibration creating stress-related emotional conditions, depression, disease symptoms, inability to absorb nutrition and auto-immune disorders. We feel exhausted, nervous and restless without knowing why.
We now know that external frequencies can vibrate in ways that are incoherent to our system and cause severe damages. Radioactivity, caused by reactor accidents like Hiroshima in WW2 was such a disaster as well as Chernobyl and Fukoshima. Despite this fact of its destructive power, we still use this energetic time bomb. Money and greed are still the leading forces in our society.
Wind power – a green energy highly praised – produces not only electricity, but the huge rotors create an infrasound as well. The results of this infra-sound are many cases of high blood pressure, deep exhaustion and depressions in the neighbourhoods around wind parks. Farmers also see low milk rates and a high amount of miscarriages with their cattle.
It took a long time for the nuclear industry to finally admit that the radiation from nuclear energy is dangerous for the people living near nuclear reactor environment. Protective arrangements had to be increased – but how to increase protection against infrasound?
And we all know meanwhile that mobile radiation is dangerous for our brain and our nervous system, but now we are going to expose our body to an even more dangerous radiation. Most recently, the new 5G technology is being introduced to our cities. There are no long-term investigations, and no one knows the real consequences of this technology. The only thing, we know is the incoherence created by 5G in our system bears the risk of damaging our health and even our DNA. The health risks of 5G threaten future generations. We are ready to sacrifice the most precious thing we have: ourselves and our human future for a short-time progress that helps to manipulate mankind. But it opens innumerable opportunities to earn lots of money, just a hand full of people are benefitting from – at the costs of the majority. When will we ever learn?
Vibration as a healing method
Energy Medicine is based on ancient wisdom teachings. Conventional medicine has placed it in the category of pseudo-science. But if we see ourselves as vibrational beings, there is only one way to heal a disease at its roots – by restoring our bodies to its original healthy and harmonious vibration.
This is where the 2nd Hermetic Principle comes into play:
The Hermetic Principle of the Planes of Correspondence
As above so below – Kybalion
This statement can be expanded to: As below so above, as inside so outside – as outside so inside, as in small, so in big – as in big so in small!
This principle is – in connection with the Principle of Vibration – the foundation of homeopathy. That’s why this principle can be explained easily with the help of this excellent healing method.
Hahnemann, the father of homeopathy, who lived about 200 years ago, described the homeostatic principle – the flow-equilibrium that restores itself in all healthy cells during every metabolic process. According to Hahnemann, disease arises when this equilibrium is so damaged that the self-healing forces of the body are not capable of restoring it. The result is that the vibrational pattern of an organ or system is completely out of balance. We then develop symptoms and become ill. If we want to restore the body’s balance, we need the corresponding specific vibration of the organ or system – in its healthy form – to reconstruct the flow-equilibrium.
The Principle of Correspondence in Homeopathy
Hahnemann discovered that a substance causing disease symptoms when taken in a very concentrated form can heal a disease with just the same symptoms – without having taken this substance. Hahnemann avoided the substance being too strong or poisonous for the body by potentiating it – a series of dilutions via a vigorous agitation of the solution called succussion, until there is no detectible chemical substance [molecules] left. By potentiation no molecules of the original substance are measurable – which happens at about a C 30 (diluting 30 times 1: 100). A “carrier” substance – normally alcohol – is overtaking the vibration of the substance and used as the remedy – now without side effects of the starting substance but highly effective nonetheless. When the vibration of the remedy corresponds with that one of the healthy organ, the remedy can help the organ to regain its primordial balance.
Of course, it is up to the knowledge and experience of the homeopath to find the correct remedy. Thus, homeopathy works within the Law of Correspondence: How a person appears in the outer, so is his/her inner state. Homeopathic diagnosis has to do with the symptoms of the disease. Everything is important – whether the patient is restless or too tired to move, pale or blushed, when and how the pain shows up, etc.
When it comes to chronic diseases, the whole personality is part of finding the right remedy. A fearful, insecure person appears differently, behaves differently in comparison to a nervous, very active person. And for every characteristic, there is a corresponding remedy. A homeopathic practitioner learns to look carefully to find the remedy that is closest to the presenting symptoms. Such a remedy is called “simile”. In homeopathy, the human being is regarded as a micro cosmos containing everything on a vibrational level in correspondence to material forms of the macro cosmos. That’s why homeopathy uses minerals, plants, animals and even pathogenic agents as source material for the potentiated remedies.
Many other Energetic Methods are based on the Principle of Correspondence
In astrology, the position of the stars corresponds to the personality of the person born at that time. An astrological chart can help to identify our strengths and talents. We can find our life’s purpose or why we are so unhappy in our job or why we have such a stressful relationship. We all come here with a certain purpose for which we have corresponding talents and potentials. But when we live against our inner plan and ignore our calling, problems will wake us up and bring us back on the track. Astrology can be very helpful in the understanding of life’s events.
In Energy Medicine, acupuncture is an excellent example of the Principle of Correspondence. Meridians and acupuncture points are equivalent to organs or systems. In our ear or on the soles of our feet, we have a micro image of our body. The therapist uses this knowledge to activate certain points or meridians to bring back a healthy balance to the imbalance, which cause the disease.
But all those wonderful techniques are of course – as everywhere – dependent on the knowledge, the experience and the intuition of the practitioner. However, the core root of all problems is our way of thinking which determines our attitude and our way of life!
The World is as we perceive it
The main cause of all diseases and psychological problems is our way of thinking and our approach to life. This is expressed in the favorite quote of my former teacher, Dr. Hans Endres:
“As we think, so we feel
As we feel, so we act
As we act, so we become
As we become, so life happens to us.”
Each and every thought has a specific vibration! Dr. David Hawkins has analysed different emotions with the help of muscle testing. He found out, that negative emotions like hatred or anger vibrate at very low rates, in contrast to gratitude or joy which vibrate at high frequencies. The result of his testing can be found in the Hawkins Scale.
So it is very clear that negative thought patterns with their low oscillations are incoherent with a healthy and balanced vibration pattern causing disease over a longer period of time. What sort of disease will show up, depends on the specific thought pattern of the individual as well as on the personal constitution of the body.
As inside so outside! There are several books on the market concerning the language of the organs, describing which negative emotions are associated with certain illnesses. Dr. Ruediger Dahlke together with Thorwald Dethlefsen was one of the pioneers in the 1970s, who discovered these connections and published a book on this subject
It has also been shown statistically, that cancer patients who have an optimistic and joyful attitude have a much higher survival rate than those who are pessimistic and fearful.
But not only diseases are the result of such negative states like fear or pessimism, or when we gossip, cheat or lie. Our complete life becomes a never ending struggle. We waste endless amounts of energy, because we are all the time faced with negative persons and situations. There is a true quote, “Tell me, with whom and with what you surround yourself, and I tell you who you are!”
The Law of Correspondence can also help us to discover – if we are receptive for truth – why we are caught up in problems and why we are experiencing difficulties with others. “Chance is but a name of law not recognized.” – So it is said in the Kybalion.
In my therapies, I can help many patients to solve their problems and learn the reasons hidden behind a burdensome situation. If we acknowledge and work with and understand the Law of Correspondence, the burdensome situation changes. Wayne Dyer has confirmed this with a clear statement:
“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change!”
It is never the question, “Why me?”
The appropriate question is always: What is the message of this situation? What can I learn from it?
How we can profit from the Principle of Correspondence
In every misfortune, there is a spark of light hidden, which the Yin-Yang-Symbol illustrates. The important thing is to reveal this spark of light and expand it. So a blessing can emerge which will enrich life in an unforeseen way.
An admirable example is Nick Vuijcic – a man born without arms or legs, just on little “duck-leg” as he calls it. In spite of this enormous handicap, Nick turned his life into a blessing. With his slogan “No arms, no legs, and no limits!” he is able to play football, stir a paddle and do much more. He has become famous with this unbreakable will and his confident and courageous self. Nick visits schools, gives lectures and seminars and is married and has a child.
The same with Steven Hawkins, the most popular theoretical physicist, respected by all scientists. He suffered from ALS, a very severe muscle degeneration, normally leading to death after a few years. But against all predictions he passed away at age 76 in 2018. When he couldn’t speak anymore, he used a voice computer, wrote many books and never gave up! He even had the chance to experience zero gravity in 2007 in a space lab!
Compared to such personalities, our problems and sorrows seem to be small and reduce to almost nothing. Shouldn’t we be more grateful for all the blessings we have gained, instead of taking them for granted? It is our own decision, whether we want to be caught as victims or become creators of our own destiny.
“As above – so below! The phenomena of one plane may be employed to solve the riddles of higher or lower planes.” – Kybalion
