FePO4x4H2O
phosphoric acid iron
ORGAN: Blood
1 Recommended potentiation: D 12
2 Characteristics:
This mineral helps the human being to deal with the world, in both the outer world and the inner world, where the outer world is mirrored and the object of “mental” focus. It indicates in its symptom inventory the necessary resting phases, as otherwise too much consumption would be the result. Iron as an operating and building material can only be absorbed slowly.
Ferrum phosphoricum is the remedy for the low fever up to 38.8º Celsius and is therefore an excellent remedy for children.
If the organism has to deal with intruding pollutants or bacteria at certain locations, inflammation1 occurs because the metabolism begins to increase. This is the first stage in the course of a disease that can be favourably influenced by “first aid” Ferrum phosphoricum.
If injuries, sprains, dislocations or an impact cause severe pain, especially with knocking, throbbing pains, the energy balance is severely disturbed. Here too, Ferrum phosphoricum can help surprisingly and quickly.
According to Dr. Schüßler the phosphoric acid iron in the preparation controls the remaining iron balance and ensures that it can be absorbed and incorporated into the body.
In the body it is bound to haemoglobin, the blood pigment of the erythrocytes, and therefore responsible for the transport of oxygen to the cells.
It boosts the metabolism, the basal metabolic rate and serves as a means of transport in general. Thus it is of eminent importance for the transport of the blood.
Ferrum phosphoricum imporves the human immune system and is therefore taken as a preventive measure during flu season.
If the body’s iron level is too high, which is particularly evident in the liver, a deficiency of No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum is also to be assumed!
It is the most important antioxidant in the body.
3 Mode of operation:
Ferrum phosphoricum works fairly quickly. However, if there is a major deficiency, it takes longer for the deficiency signs to disappear. It is also necessary to supply the body with it for a longer period of time.
The outer treatment with this mineral is very efficient and is indicated quite often.
3.1 Erythrocytes – Iron in the blood
The erythrocytes are formed in the bone marrow. This process is called erythropoiesis. Life span of red blood cells is 110-130 days. About 2.4 million new erythrocytes are formed every second. The new formation is particularly dependent on the presence of vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folic acid.
Haemoglobin is a relatively large molecule and consists of four so-called haem groups. It absorbs oxygen like a sponge. Each haemoglobin molecule can bind four oxygen molecules only. However, each blood cell contains 300 million haemoglobin molecules, which is why blood can transport 70 times more oxygen than water.
Old and no longer functioning erythrocytes are filtered out by the spleen and broken down by large phagocytes.
The iron residue is transported back to the bone marrow, where it participates in the new formation of erythrocytes. Haemoglobin is excreted via the liver and bile into the intestines as bilirubin.
Per microlitre of blood, which is 1 millionth of a litre of blood, which corresponds to one cubic millimetre, men have 4.5 – 5.9 million erythrocytes and women 4.0 – 5.1 million erythrocytes.
4 Signs of deficiency:
Low resistance, tendency to inflammation, quickly tired, lack of concentration, does not tolerate the sun.
If concentration problems or signs of fatigue occur due to a lack of oxygen supply to the body, stimulation options such as coffee and black tea are popular. However, they cannot eliminate the deficiency, and in factmay even increase the deficiency.
4.1 Deficiency
Iron deficiency has a fairly rapid effect with serious consequences. If there are any problems, a blood test should be carried out to determine the iron status.
The only form of anaemia caused by iron deficiency is called microcytic anaemia, where the erythrocytes are too small and contain too few iron ions, including haemoglobin.
Note: There is a correlation between a lack of nickel and a decreasing number of erythrocytes, combined with a decreasing content of haemoglobin: No. 30 Niccolum sulfuricum.
All other forms of anaemia require an additional supply of vitamin B12, vitamin B6, folic acid and copper in addition to iron intake. In this context, reference is made to no. 29 Cobaltum metallicum – central atom of vitamin B12.
In case of a latent deficiency, it is primarily the stock of functional iron that is covered and not the stock in the erythrocytes. The antioxidant properties of iron are essential for life.
4.1.1 Daily requirement
The daily requirement of iron is about 10 to 15 mg, which should be taken from food.
Iron can certainly be taken in with food. It is important that you also need rest and relaxation, which is essential for absorption.
4.1.2 Iron in food
Predominantly iron is found in:
- Animal foodstuffs, such as offal: liver and kidneys2 (meat protein in powder form)
- Whole grain cereals: buckwheat, oat flakes contain a lot of iron
- Food rich in chlorophyll: dark green vegetables, potatoes, soya, beetroot
Iron absorption is inhibited during food intake by
- Phytates, which are contained in the outer layers of the whole grain.
- Oxalic acid, which is contained in spinach.
- Tannins in coffee, black tea and red wine.
- Alginates, which are found in pudding and promote complex formation.
- Ice cream
In many cases, No. 17 Manganum sulfuricum and No. 19 Cuprum arsenicosum help to maintain the absorbed iron.
4.2 Development or intensification of the deficiency
Coffee, black tea and the theobromine in cocoa consume a great deal of ferrum phosphoricum in the body because the substances contained in them significantly increase the basal metabolic rate. This leads to an increased energy consumption of the body, but also to a high consumption of ferrum phosphoricum. This leads to deficiencies, debts and mortgages, which have to be paid one day.

5 Iron in the body
Iron is present in the body of a person weighing about 70 kilograms in a total amount of 4-5 g: 65-70% as a component of haemoglobin
Haemoglobin is the pigment of the red blood cells (erythrocytes). It is a complicated protein with loosely bound iron ions. This type of binding enables the iron ions to bind oxygen (inhale). The oxygen (O2) is transported to the cells by the blood (arterial blood) and released there. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is bound by the released iron ions (venous blood) and excreted (exhaled).
3-5 % bound to myoglobin (muscle pigment) in the muscle cells.
0.2% as transport iron (transferrin) – extracellular iron: this transferrin has an essential role in non-specific immune defence, as it controls the activity of monocytes or macrophages. For this reason, the ferrum phosphoricum is successfully used in biochemistry as a means to increase the immune system!
15-20% depot – iron (ferritin) is stored in the liver, spleen, intestinal mucosa and bone marrow.
5.1 Intracellular iron:
10% are present as functional iron, as a component of enzymes:
These include, for example, the cytochrome enzyme complex (metalloprotein), which acts as an important element in the cellular respiratory chain.
Iron is also involved in oxygen oxidation within the cells and in energy production when ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is formed in the mitochondria, in the so-called power stations of the cells.
Iron is also very important in flavoproteins. Here it is mainly catalase, which acts with the help of the enzyme peroxidase. This enzyme catalyses the formation of oxygen and water from hydrogen peroxide, which is present in all cells, especially in the liver.
5.2 No.3 Ferrum phosphoricum as antioxidant
It is the iron preparation in biochemistry according to Dr. Schüßler: Iron is a component of enzymes, the cytochrome enzyme complex and therefore an important element of the cellular respiratory chain. The body temperature is also regulated by the slowed down oxyhydrogen gas reaction, which is the respiratory chain. Iron plays an important role in the oxidation of oxygen within the cells and in the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) energy, especially in the mitochondria as well as in flavoproteins and catalases. It contributes significantly to the regeneration of cell-protecting enzyme systems, e.g. glutathione, and to the neutralisation of cell-damaging radicals and peroxides. The antioxidative properties of iron are essential for life.
5.3 The absorption of iron is promoted
To maintain the iron level, especially in severe cases, it is important to take juices from the pharmacy in addition to No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum iron preparations. Preparations containing iron piccolinates are particularly recommended because they are particularly well absorbed.
The absorption of iron can be quintupled in the macro range by 200mg vitamin C, which means that vegetarians can cover their iron requirements from whole grain and vegetables.
With regard to the iron content of the blood, it should be noted that people are not always able to absorb iron supplements. As long as they take the supplements or are given the infusions, the iron levels will be right. However, if they stop taking them, their iron levels will go back down to what they were before the treatment. Only through the intake of Ferrum phosphoricum in D12, as Dr. Schüßler intends, the cells are also supplied with this mineral and these can then in turn control the iron balance in the organism satisfactorily.
Many positive feedbacks confirm this connection. Those affected have taken 10 to 30 tablets of Ferrum phosphoricum in D 12 in addition to the iron preparations.
5.4 No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum and blood sedimentation
If an increased blood sedimentation indicates a hidden inflammation, Ferrum phosphoricum can be of great help, because it does not only improve the oxygen supply, but also eliminates the need for the blood to supply to any part of the body more than others.
6 Pain
In the case of pain, it is important to pay attention to distinguishing features. They determine the use of the respective necessary minerals according to Dr. Schüßler.
6.1 First aid – acute pain
Acute pain is caused by injuries, sprains, dislocations, contusions or impacts. The energy field is no longer in order in the affected parts of the body, and the confrontation with the world was too intense. This is compensated for surprisingly quickly by a rapid administration of Ferrum phosphoricum. The lost energy is quickly replenished.
From the practice: A woman at the age of about 50 years came limping to an evening of a health regulars’ table, where the topic was the minerals according to Dr. Schüßler. When asked by the speaker what had happened, she gave the following answer: “This afternoon, when I was cleaning the living room, the couch fell on my forefoot. That hurts terribly! I can hardly walk.”The speaker had the host give him 30 tablets of Ferrum phosphoricum. The woman should let a pastille melt in her mouth every 3-5 minutes. When she was asked after half an hour how strong the pain still was, she replied: “What pain?“She had already forgotten about it, because help had been provided.
Children in particular forget very quickly what pain they had, including the cause, if they were able to get help by an appropriate administration of Ferrum phosphoricum. This can be as much as 30, 40 or 50, which are sucked one by one in rapid succession.
Another case from the practice: A mineral consultant heard her husband coming up the wooden stairs with difficulty and clumsiness. This was not his usual step. Indeed, his thigh showed severe bloodshot abrasions. A corner of a piece of furniture had left painful marks as he ran violently against it. She dissolved some of the minerals of Ferrum phosphoricum, which decompose easily in water, and spread the pulp on the slightly bleeding thigh. It lasted exactly two minutes and then her husband was painless. Of course the further treatment was continued with minerals according to Dr. Schüßler.

6.2 Pains – prolonged inflammation
If a serious disturbance occurs in the body, the organism will endeavour to repair the damage. These disorders may include headaches caused by a high concentration of harmful substances, as well as severe supply disorders in the joints, which can lead to joint pain, but also back pain. The penetration of bacteria or viruses into the organism results in the mobilisation of the body’s defences, a general feeling of discomfort is the consequence, sometimes even a shivering all over the body. Contamination of open wounds means that the body has to deal with these substances very intensively.
All these pains have one thing in common. They arise because the organism tries to deal with the problem at hand by increasing the supply of blood at certain locations, i.e. by increasing the metabolism. As a result, the pain is pulsating, throbbing at the same rhythm as the heart beats. The veins in the affected areas are filled with blood until they burst. At these points there is also warming, depending on which part of the body is affected. This warming, which is associated with pain, is called inflammation.
The pain arises on the spot. It must be distinguished from radiating or pulling pains, which have another cause. (see No.2 Calcium phosphoricum) These can usually be alleviated by heat, while the pain discussed here is made worse by heat. Inflammation is often treated with cold and sometimes even with ice packs.
From practice: Report from a granny
“Our grandchild pressed his nose against the opaque glass of the bedroom door behind which his grandfather had disappeared, which he could not have known. On his return he opened the door forcefully and the child cried out! The row of toes of the seven-year-old child had got under the door frame. It did not look good. We even suspected that a toe might have been broken. We moved toe by toe, but our suspicions did not seem to be confirmed. We applied a paste of Ferrum phosphoricum tablets to the aching toes and the whole forefoot. The pain stopped soon. The wounds healed very quickly. One could almost watch it. Nothing was broken.”
6.3 Nerve pain
A special type of pain is the inflamed nerves. For a long time the nerve was irritated. Either by muscles that have been tensed for too long or even hardened, such as on the shoulder blade. If pain radiating from there can be felt in the elbow, it is described as tennis elbow. If the pain radiates into the shoulder and upper arm, it is called the golf shoulder. If the nerve is irritated by an intervertebral disc that has no room to move because the vertebrae have been compressed by too much tension, sciatica pain develops, and the pain can radiate into the leg or even into the foot. These pains need warmth, as already described above.
But if the irritation of the nerve cord takes too long, it becomes inflamed. This means that the abrasion of the nerve substance is so severe that the organism tries to repair the damage by increasing its supply. This leads to the already described inflammation, which can no longer tolerate heat, but must be treated with cold again. Even better of course is the supply of Ferrum phosphoricum, both externally and internally.
7 Ears, balance
The blood circulation of the ears and the attached sense of balance is very important. This is promoted or guaranteed by No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum.
7.1 Ears
The ears and the organ of equilibrium depend on good blood circulation and above all on a good supply of oxygen, especially because the blood vessels are so fine. In these areas, a deficiency has a particularly rapid effect, in pain but also under certain circumstances in unpleasant noises, such as a continuous humming or high-pitched whistling sound (tinnitus). However, the high-pitched whistling sounds can also indicate other deficiencies, such as when the veins are narrowed and hardened by sclerosis and the blood “whistles” through the veins.
If there is a disturbance in the organ of balance due to a lack of ferrum phosphoricum, which is particularly dependent on good blood circulation in the fine vessels, uncontrolled movements or even dizziness and associated nausea can occur.
In the area of the ears, a sleep deficit becomes noticeable particularly quickly, because the consumption of ferrum phosphoricum rises sharply, but the organism is not able to cover the high demand due to the slow absorption.
7.2 Earache
It is particularly intense and often plagues children. The ear and the organ of equilibrium in it are pervaded by the finest veins and react particularly quickly to a lack of ferrum phosphoricum. Therefore, Ferrum phosphoricum is not only in the biochemistry according to Dr. Schüßler but also in homeopathy the remedy for middle ear inflammation.
From practice: This mineral has already saved a family’s stay in Loipersdorf, a thermal spa, twice. The little daughter comes to her father after an extensive stay in the water and complains of earaches. This was a clear indication of a lack of iron. Due to the long ecercise, but also the effect of the thermal water, many transport substances, especially Ferrum phosphoricum, had been used up. The pain was very severe, so that something had to be done immediately. Therefore it is of great advantage to always carry a biochemical pharmacy with you on such trips3.
The father put the can with the number 3 in her hand and let her suck a pastille every 2-3 minutes. Since the daughter already knew the effect of the minerals according to Dr. Schüßler, he did not have to argue much, as it can sometimes be the case with fourteen year olds. After half an hour she returned the can with the remark that the pain had disappeared. But now she still had a pressure in her ear, was the postscript. This was treated with number 10 and disappeared quite quickly.

7.3 On the subject of ear noises:
The inner ear is the size of a coffee bean. Inside there is the cochlea and the arch system of the organ of equilibrium.
The blood vessels are so fine that only one erythrocyte after the other can pass through. If the blood vessels are narrowed by a deficiency of No. 9 sodium phosphoricum and No. 11 silicea, or are rigid due to a deficiency of No. 1 calcium fluoratum, or if the blood viscosity is too high due to a deficiency of No. 4 potassium chloratum, then the erythrocytes are compressed and can only release oxygen with difficulty. This results in a secondary oxygen deficiency in the ear, which in the event of a hearing loss in acute cases requires a massive supply of no. 3. (In this case it is advisable to take 200 tablets daily!)
Hearing noises that are accompanied by a humming or short whistling need a lot of No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum.
If the elasticity of the vessels in the ear decreases and the noise of the artery is transferred to the inner ear at the frequency of the pulse4, then we need No. 1 Calcium fluoratum and No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum, alternating tones need No. 2 Calcium phosphoricum. No.2 is also indicated in the case of changing tones in the ear, mainly because of possible tension in the neck area.
The cause of high whistling in the ear is always abrasion of the hair cells in the inner ear, which, if there is any chance of regeneration at all, requires the following minerals: No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum, No. 5 Potassium phosphoricum and No. 8 Sodium chloratum.
In summary, with constant ear noises the following minerals are used in the biochemistry according to Dr. Schüßler: No. 1 Calcium fluoratum, No. 4 Potassium chloratum, No. 9 Sodium phosphoricum and No. 11 Silicea.
(+No. 2 Calcium phosphoricum in case of too much protein or protein overload).
Overproteinisation also causes the blood to become thicker, which can also lead to a hearing loss in athletes if protein-building powder is taken.
Menier’s syndrome:
In the inner ear the organ of Corti is as rich in potassium as the inside of the cell. If the Na/K – pump does not work, the liquid accumulates more and more due to the osmotic pressure until it bursts. The Na and K – rich fluids mix, resulting in massive dizziness and ringing in the ears, as well as the loss of low-pitched sounds. Finally this complaint leads to deafness.
The minerals from the biochemistry according to Dr. Schüßler, to be used here: No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum, No. 5 Potassium phosphoricum, No.7 Magnesium phosphoricum and No. 8 Sodium chloratum.
Magnesium activates the Na/K – ATPase, which in turn activates the Na/K – ion pumps. For the elasticity of the inner ear skins, no. 1 calcium fluoratum is needed.
8 The body temperature
Like energy-rich molecules, for example adenosine triphosphate (ATP), body temperature is produced by a slowed oxyhydrogen reaction in the respiratory chain, whereby the sufficient presence of No. 6 potassium sulfuricum is also of great importance.
8.1 Temperature
The organism is designed to maintain a constant temperature in the body. It is about 35.5° to 37° Celsius. Any deviation greatly impairs human performance, and an under-temperature is very worrying as it indicates a decline in viability. In other words, the reserves are exhausted and there is no longer an increase in temperature.
The digestive process is used to break down the substances from food that are necessary for the body. These are transported to the cells via suitable transport routes and used to generate energy (heat) via chemical metabolic processes (oxidation). Enzymes and minerals are involved in these metabolic processes. The metabolic end products (harmful substances) are excreted via the respiratory system, the intestines, the kidneys, the bladder and the skin.
8.2 How does temperature develop in the body?
When oxygen chemically combines with other elements, heat is generated. We call this process oxidation. This can be very lively as a burn or it can proceed more slowly or almost imperceptibly at an inconspicuous temperature. When oxygen combines with carbon in the body, not only carbon dioxide (CO2) is produced, which we can get rid of by breathing, but also heat. The body has the carbohydrates it needs to do this. However, if these are removed from the food, the organism is also able to burn fats, but in a much more complicated chemical way.
The body can store carbohydrates for a maximum of two days. Also two days long one has a feeling of hunger during fasting cures. The feeling of hunger is caused by a slight hypoglycaemia which is caused by a slight excess of insulin (the hormone of the pancreas). This causes the blood sugar level to drop, resulting in a slight feeling of hunger, or even a craving for sweets (especially for rich carbohydrate meals like small sweets, desserts, ice cream, etc.)
Oxidation therapy is a medical term for procedures that aim to improve the oxygen supply or its use in the body.
Overall, the transport of oxygen in the body is linked to the presence of Ferrum phosphoricum. A deficiency has serious consequences because the temperature that is vital for the organism may no longer be able to be maintained. It is therefore understandable that a deficiency of this mineral is initially accompanied by shivering.
However, if the deficiency is greater, the body temperature is raised. This attacks the reserves, and the burn is not complete, so that residues remain in the body, which are then excreted in a good recovery period.

8.3 Low fever to 38.8° Celsius
The low fever of up to 38.8° Celsius is also known as child fever because it occurs in children frequently. But it happens again and again that a slightly elevated temperature in people resists any therapeutic attempt. Here too, No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum is appropriate. The background is discussed in the next chapter.

9 Disease
9.1 Metabolic remedies, antioxidants
The antioxidant function significantly contributes to the regeneration of cell-protecting enzyme systems, such as glutathione, and to the neutralisation of cell-damaging radicals and peroxides.
For this reason the No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum is THE antioxidant in biochemistry according to Dr. Schüßler!
Measurements in a pharmacy have confirmed that people who take plenty of minerals according to Dr. Schüßler have excellent values regarding oxidative stress, far better than the average person.
The society for biochemestry according to Dr. Schuessler and face analysis – GBA – (Gesellschaft für Biochemie nach Dr. Schüßler und Antlitzanalyse (GBA)) has taken on the task of further investigating this phenomenon and providing appropriate statistical evidence.

9.2 Dealing with a disease
Iron not only transports oxygen, but also serves to transport many substances in the body in general, so it is responsible for the transport quality of the blood. It therefore supports the body’s metabolism in general. So if a lot of iron from current stores is used up by special stress, such as cold in winter or heat in summer, and valuable substances are already broken down, not much of this mineral is available. In addition, the organism must be able to fall back on reserves that it was able to build up in good times, so that it always has a certain amount available.
If the organism then wants to carry out its repair work, maintenance work or whatever else it needs after an extensive stay outdoors in the cold, the iron is no longer available in the desired quantity. However, in order to ensure that the transport of the necessary funds is still possible, the organism must take emergency measures. It increases the operating temperature, which also speeds up the metabolism, so that the necessary agents can be transported according to need.
The range of this increased temperature is between 37° and 38.8°. There is a margin of 0.3° at the upper limit. It is up to the consultant or mineralogist to decide at what point high fever requiring potassium phosphoricum starts for him. This also varies from case to case. In case of doubt, both remedies can be used at the same time.
Recommended intake:
Zell Immuferin
Tablets administered at an elevated temperature do not reduce fever. They enable the organism to carry out the necessary transport properly, making the increase in temperature unnecessary; the need to increase the operating temperature is eliminated.
The organism obviously needs a very long time to absorb Ferrum phosphoricum and, above all, a period of rest. People who sleep very little have a high deficiency of Ferrum phosphoricum. If there is stress in the sleeping place, the organism does not get enough rest thus not being able to sort out its Ferrum phosphoricum household. Very often the phenomenon of hearing loss is observed in this context. As already mentioned, the ear is particularly dependent on a good supply of Ferrum phosphoricum.
If the sleep deficit is too big, not only an immune weakness will develop, but also a lack of ferrum phosphoricum, combined with a tendency to diseases associated with low fever. These are people with a weak immune field, colds easily develop, the tendency to illnesses increases in general, one “catches everything”. If there is too little oxygen in the blood, the pathogens cannot be oxidised.
If the organism has not been able to regenerate and detoxify due to too few resting phases, a large backlog of substances that need to be excreted develops. If the backlog is too large, the organism also resorts to emergency measures such as raising the body temperature. However, before it takes these measures, it signals how far the distress in the body has already progressed. The affected person feels as if he is shattered in all his limbs. This is the first sign of a flu-like infection, which is a cleansing process, unlike a true viral flu.

9.3 Influenza
The feeling of exhaustion, the feeling like “lead in the limbs”, actually calls for the number 10 (sodium sulfuricum), which will be still referred to with this mineral. However, if this signal is not heard, the organism has no choice but to take more drastic measures. It raises the temperature in order to be able to carry out the detoxification work that has been accumulated for too long. This speeds up the metabolism, which compensates for the lack of ferrum phosphoricum, which is a result of the insufficient recovery phases.
Bed rest helps the organism on two levels. Firstly, the need for ferrum phosphoricum is enormously reduced by the resting position and secondly, the further accumulation of waste products is also drastically reduced. As there is no physical activity, the iron is also removed from the muscle cells. If a generous administration of ferrum phosphoricum causes the temperature to drop very soon, the patient should, however, not be exposed to full stress so quickly, as the organism still needs some time to recover. He will also remain “wobbly” on his legs for some time due to the loss of iron in the muscles.
In addition to the purification process, the sniffles are usually associated with a need for sodium chloratum and a slimy white cough indicates a need for potassium chloratum.

9.4 Children
The low fever of up to 38.8° is very common in children, as their impulsive, lively and adventurous nature leads to an increased basal metabolic rate. Soon this pushes them to the limit of their body’s transport system, forcing the organism to raise its temperature in order to carry out the necessary transport. In children, the administration of Ferrum phosphoricum helps very quickly. Within a very short time, the fever drops, which indicates that this mineral will eliminate the constriction of the metabolic process soon.
If (as in classical medicine) the fever is suppressed, the necessary work in the body cannot be carried out. This leads to an ever increasing backlog of necessary work, but also of substances to be excreted, until the organism collapses, until really nothing works anymore.
10 Injuries
Ferrum phosphoricum has a special significance in cases of open injuries. This does not refer to wounds that absolutely must be sutured because they are too large. Mineral tablets should not only be taken, but also be applied to the wound as a paste. Even though there might be some concerns at first, they will disappear very quickly after a few attempts. Lactose has a slightly antiseptic and cleansing effect, and closes the wound. The mineral contained as an active ingredient firstly has an analgetic effect, secondly a haemostatic effect and thirdly it creates an almost scar-free connection of the opened skin.
From the praxis:
A man had cut his left thumb quite deeply at the top of his thumb while laying clinker slabs in the basement. He immediately dissolved 20 tablets of Ferrum phosphoricum in water and spread the paste on the wound. He also took one tablet at short intervals (every 2-3 minutes). After a short time the intense pain subsided and the bleeding stopped. The wound was not very large, but deep, which is particularly painful. After several times renewing the “porridge bandage” it could be observed the very next day how the organism started to close the wound. All the fine lines of the fingerprint rejoined and today (after 2 years) it takes some effort to discover the fine scar that remained.
Especially with abrasive wounds, the application of dissolved minerals as a paste has proven to be very effective. If children scrape their knee when they fall, this measure is particularly helpful. The water should already be either boiled or distilled available at home. To prevent the paste from becoming too hard due to the escaping liquid, the injured area can be covered with gauze (if necessary) and then with plastic wrap. It is easy to remove it! The gauze is also easily removed when the milk sugar is dissolved by water.

11 Physical performance, sore muscles
Ferrum phosphoricum is important for the transport of substances involved in metabolism. Muscles, in particular, depend on a good iron balance during heavy exertion. For this reason, some Ferrum phosphoricum tablets prevent an excessive loss of strength before heavy physical exertion. Among other things, they ensure a good supply of oxygen, but also energy for the muscles. The quantity depends on age and physical stature, but it is quite possible to take up to 30 or 40. However, they should not be taken all at once, but rather, either dissolved in water, drunk in sips, or otherwise sucked at small intervals.
If you want to prevent sore muscles during physical work or sporting activities, take plenty of No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum.

12 The sun and the human body
„Sun worshippers” are especially addressed here, as sunbathing requires the organism to do a particularly intensive balancing work. It can certainly be compared to the reaction to the heaviest work, such as chopping wood.
Not only does the body temperature rise, but the heartbeat is also accelerated, and the temperature balance is increased. It also increases the amount of metabolic pollutants that have to be removed. The metabolism is accelerated, which requires increased oxygen transport. The intensive sunlight mobilises the pollutants deposited in the skin tissue. These pollutants either want to get out of the body through skin, which can lead to watery blisters (sun allergy), or want to be transported away, which is not so fast; feet and hands may also swell.
In order to protect the body, the melanin stored in the skin is activated, moves to the surface of the skin and forms the desired tan. This can only be achieved by paying attention to the biological limits of the skin! Any exaggeration leads to disorders – such as sunburn.
If someone does not take into account his or her own deficiency and still exposes him- or herself to the sun intensively, the consequences are just unpleasant for the time being. Headaches in the evening of the same day or the next day indicate a lack of No. 3 because there is a lack of oxygen in the head. In case of a sunstroke, the consequences go a little further. However, fatigue, headache, dizziness, nausea, pulse acceleration and slightly elevated temperature no longer indicate a lack of ferrum phosphoricum only, but also other deficiencies. If further stress is added, this can lead to circulatory collapse.
Now, if there is only little stock of ferrum phosphoricum in the body, the person concerned thinks that he or she cannot tolerate the sun, which is true. If his sensitivity is so fine and the person takes it into account, this would protect his own life. If, however, Ferrum phosphoricum is taken over a long period of time, the person’s tolerance to the sun can certainly be restored, as many cases from the praxis have shown. A sensible exposure to the sun5 is necessary for the human body because sunlight enables the synthesis (build-up) of vitamin D. The effect of the sun’s rays on colour level and the human mind is also of great importance!

13 Diarrhoea and constipation
We can observe again and again that the same mineral is responsible for completely opposite phenomena. This is also the case with constipation and diarrhoea. In order to be able to pass on the food pulp, the intestine makes a wormlike movement (intestinal peristalsis). This movement belongs to the involuntary muscle movements and requires Magnesium phosphoricum.
This movement belongs to the involuntary muscle movements and requires Magnesium phosphoricum. However, if the supply of oxygen in the intestinal wall is too low, constipation occurs.6 The undersupply is caused by a lack of ferrum phosphoricum. This severely impairs peristaltic movement and makes the intestine sluggish and slack. However, the importance of No 8 sodium chloratum should not be overlooked in this context, as it regulates the fluid balance.
Chronic use of laxatives leads to an additional loss of potassium, which creates a vicious circle because the intestinal villi in the large intestine can fulfil their tasks with the help of potassium only.
In small children, the connection between fever and constipation is often observed. Both the fever and the parallel constipation are an indication of a lack of ferrum phosphoricum.
Some people have the opportunity to compensate this inertia with a cup of coffee. The caffeine dilates the veins and promotes blood circulation. This stimulates the intestinal walls and the desired result, namely bowel movement, is achieved. However, coffee is a great predator of ferrum phosphoricum, which leads to mortgages, debts that have to be paid later.
If the ferrum phosphoricum is missing in the intestinal villi, which have the ability to absorb the nutrients from the food pulp, they are impaired in their function. The liquid remains in the food pulp and diarrhoea develops. In this case, however, it is essential to pay attention to No. 10 Sodium sulfuricum as well. It also helps the organism to retain fluid.

14. No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum – Nutrients
Blood
Nutrient | Function |
---|---|
Iron (gluconat) | Macro, structure of haemoglobin, functional iron - respiratory chain in connection with electron-transferring systems. Storage iron - muscles |
Copper (gluconat) | Promotes haemoglobin formation, iron processing disorder can also be a copper deficiency. Copper is a component of coeruloplasmin - transport molecule for copper to be tranported through blood and tissue, it increases the incorporation of dietary iron into haemoglobin. It oxidises free storage iron and makes it available for incorporation into haemoglobin. |
Vitamin B Complex | Increases the life span of erythrocytes, increases blood formation and haemoglobin formation (together with copper), metabolic activation, panic attacks. |
Vitamin C buffered | Improves iron absorption (by a factor of 5) |
Chlorella algae | Similarity of chlorophyll to haemoglobin, antioxidant, expelling harmful substances. |
Concentration
Nutrients | Function |
---|---|
Vitamin B Complex | Energy metabolism, support the functions of the brain. A deficiency lowers memory and leads to poor concentration. |
Ginkgo biloba extract | Strengthens concentration and memory, promotes blood circulation in the brain and is used to treat dizziness. |
Vitamin A and beta carotene | Improves brain performance, promotes amyloid degradation in the brain, Alzheimer's prevention |
Antioxidants, increase in immunity, inflammation

Coenzyme Q 10 | Cellular energy supply especially with regard to ATP, regenerates vitamin E, oxidative cell protection for biomembrane, strengthens the immune system. |
15 External use
Externally, this mineral is mainly used for all throbbing and pulsating pains and as a first aid remedy in the form of paste, in particular with
- fresh wounds,
- abrasions
- burns, but the main agent for burns is sodium chloratum no. 8!
For all these applications, internal use (intake) must not be neglected.
No. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum is used to relieve acute, throbbing pain and inflammation, whenever there is a “hot” spot, i.e. when coldness relieves the suffering.
In case of fever, children can be given so-called „Essigpatscherl“ (vinegar socks), but not with vinegar, but with the dissolved number 3.
Fever suppositories:
No. 3+5+8 (twice as much of no. 3 as of the other two numbers)
Inflamed extremities can be bathed in the mineral, or compresses can be made with a water in which this mineral has been dissolved (like a paste), usually in combination with others.
Ointments and cream gels contain this mineral when it is needed to relieve pain or prevent metabolic congestion.
15.1 Note: ions
The presence of negative ions in the air is an important factor for human well-being. Researchers at the University of Berkley have discovered that negative ions are absorbed as energy carriers through the mucous membranes of the nose, pharynx, lungs, tongue and also through the skin.
The cells have a healthy negative potential in the body. This negative potential is increased by handing it over to the erythrocytes.
Equally charged particles repel each other! Therefore, well charged erythrocytes do not tend to clump together, as is the case with the money roll phenomenon.
When there is foehn (hot dry winds) weather or in large cities, where the air is full of dust particles, the proportion of negatively charged ions decreases sharply and the risk of thrombosis increases.
A good preventive measure in this case is the no. 4, potassium chloratum.
In a waterfall there are finely atomised, negatively charged water droplets, the hydroions, which are particularly beneficial for us humans. Visiting the sea and the ocean, too, the air is filled with negative ions.
1. The nerve endings in the nasal and pharyngeal cavities,
2. the alveoli of the lungs,
3. the tongue,
4. the skin
can be included.
The cells in the body have a negative electrical potential when healthy.
The negative air ions attach themselves to the erythrocyte membrane and increase its negative charge. Equally charged ions repel each other so that the distance between the erythrocytes is kept stable. This effectively prevents thrombosis formation. If the electrostatic charge of the erythrocytes is insufficiently supplied by the air ions, the cells with insufficient potential multiply; some are even positively charged (particularly sick cells). Plus and minus attract each other. Coagulation, thrombosis formation, is facilitated”. 7
A decrease of negative ions can be observed not only during a foehn (hot dry winds), in the big city but especially in buildings made of reinforced concrete. An additional lack of potassium chloratum promotes this process, which can eventually lead to thrombosis.
So oxygen alone is not enough for the body. Due to the strong disturbance of the natural atmospheric electricity, the problems, especially with regard to the human energy field, increase dramatically!
Prevention of thrombosis, also flight thrombosis:

16 Relationships between no. 3 Ferrum phosphoricum and certain character structures
The first mineral, calcium fluoratum, builds a protective shell for the organism. The second mineral, calcium phosphoricum, fills the shells with life. The third mineral, ferrum phosphoricum, is the one that is involved in the struggle with the world. The life made possible by the first two minerals comes into friction with the outer world as well as with the inner world.
16.1 The friction with the world
Friction is caused by a difference in the speeds at which life moves. Nature has had its rhythm since time immemorial. People sometimes have a faster rhythm, a faster movement. The reverse process is also possible. In addition, people have different rhythms of life among themselves, so that friction can also occur in this respect. Friction occurs when toothpaste tubes are open, when there is something on the living room table that does not belong there, when the bathmat does not follow the pattern of the tiles, when the son/daughter has still not started the homework, when the employee works really slowly (does something today and does it again tomorrow) etc.
Friction with the inner world occurs when the expectations, ideas and ideals (taken inwards) demand more than can be achieved. Then it is up to the courage of the individual to overthrow such tyrants, the inner and the outer ones. Sometimes this is hardly possible without help from good counselling.
People deal with different topics in the course of their lives, different people with different focuses, so that it is not possible to have just one statement about the meaning of life in general as a norm that is valid for everyone. Each individual person himself gives life meaning by putting perceived and felt values into life. The various life meanings and values can be focal points for the whole life or for specific periods of time.
The processing of the different contents of life meanings and values does not only include the different age groups, such as childhood, youth, adulthood, the time of growing older and the time of old age. It also covers different topics such as learning, health, passion, family, being single, possession, profession, helping, faith or whatever.
16.2 Delivery or design
However, it is of crucial importance how people deal with these areas, how these contents are processed. This, however, has a lot to do with one’s upbringing, with hisone’s environment, and also with the time one was born into.
There are mainly two basic features, more or less strongly formed, in which this processing takes place. People deal differently with the same areas that are being dealt with. In doing so, the basic features of the character become visible:
- whether someone feels at the mercy of life and passively waits for life to be decided upon,
- or called upon to shape the environment, which unfortunately is often enough understood as imposing one‘s will on the surroundings.
A phenomenon of a special kind can be seen in the fact that these two basic attitudes take place alternately in a person depending on the person one is with.
On the one hand, there is the passive exposure of the person, which leaves one no other choice to cope with life. One must go through it in order to survive. At least that is how it feels! This also refers to many external circumstances that challenge, often overstrain, the human being! This is the “being rubbed”. Sometimes there is even the danger of someone being “grated”.
On the other hand, there is the person who rubs up against everything in order to change everything, believing one is in demand everywhere. One wants to fulfil everything to the letter one hundred percent! In doing so, there is great difficulty in adapting to a situation appropriately and, in over-zealousness, immediately fires off and “over the top”. The environment rubs against the person and it is easily possible that others may become very upset with them.
In both situations, the passive-extradited and the over-active, people are trapped and locked up in compulsions, in inner compelling images of life. In the over-active attitude, the compulsion lies within the person and in the passive-extradited, in the surrounding world. In any case, there is too much wear and tear on the life energy but also on physical foundations such as mineral reserves, which is particularly evident in the attacked iron balance.
If a person sleeps in a very strong interference fields, if there are many amalgam fillings, if confronted with an unpleasant boss at one’s workplace, or at school with dictatorial teachers or inconsiderate schoolmates, if a mother of three children is left alone with no help, if distress or catastrophes befall a person8, then the special performance of the human being is challenged. In particular, iron reserves cannot be replenished because they require a lengthy process of absorption.
16.3 Exaggeration
If a person gets too involved in a matter, in a theme of hislife, this easily can degenerate into fanaticism, no matter in what field, when he has to put everything and anything in order and correct it, when he believes that the company can
only survive because of him, when he carries the responsibility “for the whole world” on his shoulders, if he
feels compelled by internalised structures to which he is attached to eliminate every possible threat to life in an “infinite” security story, then he always loses the sense of what is the appropriate attitude to the respective situation. He exaggerates and this leads to too much friction with and in the world. He is then not in the flow of life, but uses up all his energy to destroy or overcome life.
The solution to both situations lies in an inner loosening. You can also say serenity, but that is probably too much to ask for. Again and again a tension arises in which one cannot let the situation be as it is. On the one hand it will be necessary to recognise what cannot be changed and to leave it alone. This means a huge inner effort. On the other hand it is about loosening up one’s own inner ideas, that they do not necessarily have to be put into life, into reality, especially not in an “idealistic way“, but according to the circumstances. Life is in any case “the art of the possible”.9
16.4 Restlessness
Avoidance behaviour due to traumatic imprint
The main background for structures that make people restless is the experience of extreme danger to their own lives. These were moments in which the intolerability of the event was so great that it led to alienation from one’s own experience, one’s feelings. The resulting inner pressure not to encounter a similar situation again that would trigger similar feelings is very great. As a result, the person affected can hardly stay in one place; he can hardly tolerate rest or relaxation. Also in conversation he jumps from one topic to another. All these structures cause, among other things, a high degree of wear and tear on Ferrum phosphoricum.
As a result of malfunction of the thyroid gland, it is easily possible that the speed of life becomes unnaturally fast, i.e. high speed, or unnaturally slow or low speed. When people run at very high speeds, they also consume a lot of the fuel (ferrum phosphoricum).
16.5 Endangering life
A feeling of danger to one’s own life is also hidden behind that structure, which shows itself in the desire to have to prove something to another or to oneself, or when the woman has to stand one’s ground. The cause is to be found in a buried access to one’s own value, the basic value of self. Often, the attribution of value is sought from outside. The inner “standing” is weak and one is constantly dependent on the feedback from the environment. Since the person acting this way believes that the flow of affection increases with the degree of perfect performance and completion of the demands from him- or herself, he/she gets into an ever more oppressive tyranny based on self-chosen ideals of performance and self-expression.
This results in a constant inner friction.
16.6 Distance
Making contact with the world is a decisive step in life. It should not be approached in a frightened or careless manner.
Neither should one merely defend oneself against the world, nor should one merge with it. The effort is directed towards the ability to distance oneself from oneself and the world, whereby distance does not mean a cooling of feelings, but a reduction of compulsive action, a reduction of overwhelming feelings. The ability to observe and distance, enables us to face the world, so that we are no longer at its mercy, nor isolated from it. We have to find our way out of the compulsions that make us adhere to the events we are at the mercy of. It is also necessary to overthrow the inner tyrants from the throne, to whom we are constantly tempted to bow down.
It is a state of inner encirclement from which man must free himself.
16.7 Consent to life and its conditions
The inner distance to the world and to oneself enables people to access freedom. Only this gives the space needed for a person to really deal with his life and have the possibility to choose. From consenting to life, resistance is lost, trust develops and the issues and problems at hand are dealt with properly. This way it is possible to get into the flow of life.10
16.8 Many people criticize themselves, …
- that they have not become the son they were meant to be; –
- the failed boy;
- a boy has been lost to you;
- that they were not born in Italy/Sweden …;
- that they have the parents/siblings they have;
- that they are not as rich as…;
- that they cannot hover/fly;
- that they have to live in this (oh so bleak world).
Frankl: “The self is the space in which the person breathes!“
16.9 The time of pregnancy
The time of pregnancy is a wonderful and exciting situation for women. The woman can also be overstrained, “the price is gladly paid”. The woman’s organism has to provide nutrition for the human child and often reaches its limits. The mineral reserves are to the limits of what is bearable in order to make a healthy child possible. The Ferrum phosphoricum household is particularly stressed. After all, the woman has to deal inwardly with the coming and growing life. She also has to find her inner consent.
Unfortunately, pregnant women often have other worries as well, such as whether the child is welcome, how the economic situation will develop or how to cope in the small home.
If the woman is accompanied by a loving partner who looks forward to the arrival of the human child with her, the risks are reduced to a minimum. Also the excessive demands caused by problems that endanger one’s own existence are eliminated. The positive attitude of the partner towards the developing life is such a great relief for the pregnant woman that there hardly will arise any serious problems.
Affirmation
The liberating attitude towards this mineral is: “I am allowed to deal with the world as intensively as I can!“
