Obituary of Dr. Kambhampati Parvathi Kumar
Dr. Kambhampati Parvathi Kumar unexpectedly departed from the physical plane on November 1, 2022,
at the age of 77.
Dr. Parvathi Kumar was the founder and editor-in-chief of Paracelsus Health & Healing Magazine. For 19 years, he directed and led the editorial board. He regularly published articles on health, ayurvedic, astrological, spiritual topics, etc. in the magazine. His articles were extremely popular within the readership and were read with pleasure. He was also the author of more than150 books, which were translated into several languages.
In 2003, Dr. Kambhampati Parvathi Kumar founded the Magazine Paracelsus Health & Healing.
This was due to a visit to the Paracelsus‘ birthplace at Einsiedeln, Switzerland, in 1993, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of Paracelsus. During this visit Dr. Parvathi Kumar experienced a deep inner encounter with Paracelsus.
In 1999, Dr. Parvathi Kumar visited the birthplace for the second time, together with a group of about 20 people from Germany and Switzerland. Thereby the idea concretised to publish a magazine in his name to honour the great physician Paracelsus.
The aim was to publish healing methods and traditional medical knowledge from East and West monthly in three languages (English, German, Spanish). Furthermore, the teachings of Paracelsus were to be brought to the people’s remembrance, made available and usable. The idea was that, in honour of Paracelsus, all the work for the magazine should be done on an honorary basis.
In the course of time, a network of contributors was thus formed across the globe, presided over by Dr. Parvathi Kumar as a great example, with openness, wisdom and as an empathic leader.
Until 2016, the Paracelsus Magazine was published as print version and later, as Dr. Parvathi Kumar recognized the signs of time, it was replaced by the free Paracelsus Health & Healing Online Magazine.
We are most grateful to Dr. Parvathi Kumar for his untiring work in service to humanity and for the well-being and health of all.
In memory
