Uranus
Uranus stands for the power of integration. It is the first planet that we canno longersee with the naked eye. Its radius of action is beyond Saturn and thus beyond our imagination. Therefore, its effect is unimaginable and unpredictable. Whatever he brings into our lives – it will be surprising, new, different, unfamiliar and strange. We can integrate the new voluntarily or resist it, but not prevent it. The motto of Uranus is “bend or break”. Either we are prepared and accept a change or we get changed.
However, as mythology tells us,we mayfind comfort in the thought, that the intention of Uranos/Uranus is full of love. He, the all-embracing starry sky, made pressure on his children every night in the lap of Mother Earth. Kronos/Saturn resisted, cut off the sperm-donating organ and threw it behind him into the sea. From this act, the goddess of love arose. She embodies the creative potential of Uranus on Earth.
It is said that the heavenly Father withdrew into the background after his castration. We should not misunderstand this as a picture of ineffectiveness -on the contrary. Uranus has already implanted love and other hidden forces into all our lives. At first we may not be aware of this -just like Saturn who threw the power of love behind him, unnoticed. But Heaven and Earth had a plan from the beginning. They told their plan to their son Kronos/Saturn only afterwards. As much as he resisted, he could not prevent the plan of Father Heaven and Mother Earth any more – just as much as we can do it. Jupiter allows us to look into the play of the Uranian forces, to experience them and to recognize their sense. He represents the heavenly law of Uranus, who wants the good for all.
Uranus is the all-embracing one who excludes nothing and no one. All that is excluded is taken in again and integrated by his power. For this, Father Heaven begat the three hundred-armed: the strong, the jointed, and the thrusting. They function as an enormous multiple battering ram that breaks everything that is hardened and excluded. This clears the way for the new and the better.
Saturn is the power that hardens. He forms our border, the personal horizon of our ideas. What we cannot imagine seems impossible to us. Uranus breaks through this boundary and brings the seemingly impossible into our lives – be it through the power of ideas that can tear down our imaginary world all of a sudden, or through the collapse of conditions that have become lifeless. Either way, petrified walls fall, so that something new and, above all, better can enter into our lives. Those who resist this energy will initially experience the change as a loss. But those who voluntarily follow that energy and get amazed by the wonders of life can enjoy the change. It is a truly divine gift to be allowed to see the world with different eyes.
Although Jupiter is assigned to lightning, it originally comes from Uranus. He begat lightning, thunder and brightness. These three forces stand for the principle of sudden illumination of consciousness. Just like a flash of lightning, they lead to an enormous rapid expansion of air. Air symbolizes our consciousness. Then the wall of consciousness, the sound barrier, thunders down. Saturn sets limits, Uranus breaks them. In most cases, only afterwards, we become aware of the meaning of this abrupt breaking, when Jupiter has gained insight within us and our consciousness has gradually expanded. Like thunder, it takes time for the new state of knowledge to penetrate into us and to “hear” it. The tearing down of constricting Saturnic walls is an act of grace and love that does not allow us to harden any further, but liberates us from the old, revives and expands our lives. Like that, we come closer to our true nature step by step.
Nothing changes you as fast as love. Love is the power that pulls down our walls, limitations, reservations and concerns in an instant. Of our own free will, we give up what we don’t really need. Love unites and liberates at the same time. Liberation is the result of Uranus’ power, integration his method and bringing forth our true nature his goal. Are you ready to accept, enjoy and open yourself full of hope to the sudden collapse of habitual life situations, firm intentions and assumed securitiesup to the newly emerging space?
