He is the advocate of a higher development, to whose elite he definitely counts himself. He enjoys social recognition, fame and honour as well as personal and financial success.
As accurate as its values and ideals may be in general, in the specific context of life they sometimes lack a connection to the individual. In a partnership, everyone has his or her own special needs; in a company, everyone contributes his or her own individual life; in society, everyone lives under his or her own conditions; and in religion, the divine finds expression in the lives of believers in a wide variety of forms. In reality, nothing is fully transferable to everyone. Every ideal must become concrete, must show itself and be enlivened under the limited conditions of real togetherness. Otherwise it is only an aloof idea that does not reach the individual in his or her individual life situation.

The test of meaningfulness
